Papain enzyme powder is derived from the roots, stems, leaves and fruits of papaya.Papain CAS 9001-73-4,It is characterized by high enzyme activity, good thermal stability, natural hygiene and safety, etc.Papain enzyme is a proteolytic enzyme with a molecular weight of 23406, composed of a single peptide chain, containing 212 amino acid residues.
Papain enzyme is a protease that can decompose protein in acidic, neutral and alkaline environments. Its appearance is white to light yellow powder, slightly hygroscopic.
Papain enzyme is soluble in water and glycerin, the aqueous solution is colorless or light yellow, sometimes milky white; it is almost insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, chloroform and ether.
