Temorelin acetate is a synthetic analogue of GRF. GRF is a hypothalamic regulatory polypeptide that stimulates the synthesis and release of endogenous growth hormone (GH) by pituitary growth hormone cells. GH exerts pharmacological effects by interacting with specific receptors in target cells including chondrocytes, osteoblasts, cardiomyocytes, hepatocytes and adipocytes. Similar to endogenous GRF, it acts by binding and activating GRF receptors in vitro.
Function
1. It is suitable for the treatment of excessive abdominal fat in HIV-infected patients with fat metabolism disorders.
